And hearing their call, are musical entrepreneurs Roger Barraza and Jaime Aranda, who have just opened their very own recording studio called Sound Stage 9. What is unique about Sound Stage 9? The first of its kind in El Paso, it offers various performance-based music programs such as learning guitar, bass, vocals, keyboards, drums, rap or even DJ lessons!
They claim that this approach brings more excitement to learning music and music theory. Boasting of a recording studio and weather controlled rehearsal rooms, one can choose from rehearsing on a stage or in a room. Besides all the training in the rehearsal room, the studio also emphasizes the need of regular showcase performances in front of family and friends to build their self confidence and performance skills. While this is not the first such studio that aims at children and trains them in musical ability, it is the first of its kind in Texas – so you can expect a horde of producer-DJs streaming out within the next decade or so!
