What seems to be a massive step towards launching its very own music streaming service, globally renowned YouTube has just landed a deal with the infamous rights agency Merlin. For the uninformed, Merlin is a giant umbrella firm that represents over 2000 indie labels around the world, making YouTube’s dreams of uninterrupted music streaming seem all the more real.
In addition to the above, YouTube already has deals in place with Sony Entertainment America, Warner Music Group, Universal Music Group and more. The Google owned video paradise have begun their quest to uproot competition of the likes of Pandora and Spotify.
