Let’s face it. Jeremy Olander marks high up the ranks of artists, who have the talent and skill to consistently deliver stunning releases time after time, and he does so again effortlessly, with the release of his brand new EP Jackie. The EP comes after his stunning release ‘Bandersnatch‘, which is still to leave our musical consciousness, and marks the first ever release on the Pryda Recordings label that isn’t an Eric Prydz production. Having impressed and been the ultimate protege within the Pryda ranks, the talented Swede changes gears with three varied and mature productions that immerse themselves into the vastness of the dance music spectrum!
Kicking off the EP with the sometimes delicate and often sharp ‘Jackie‘, the delightful string work helps smoothen the climbing synths & tight basslines that follow it moments later. A perfect peak-time masterpiece, the track has been premiered prolifically by Olander on all his recent sets. The next track on the EP is ‘DLIGTY‘ – a peculiarly titled yet familiar Olander-esque sound that borders on progressive & tech, with its strong & suggestive assembly of elements. Oscillating synth stabs pushed by a powerful bassline and ethereal waveforms make this track difficult to put down as having a single unified energy signature – sometimes dark, sometimes uplifting – the track takes us up & down within its limited run time! The final track ‘Lauderdale‘ already has an astronomical fandom, as grainy, grungy and vast synth chains combine with smooth chords, to create a synergy of magical sounds. Booming with a resounding bassline, the enchanting waveforms make this & the rest of the EP an aural delight!
