With a collaboration that left fans stunned, Avicii hasn’t hesitated to push the boundaries of EDM.  Beautiful in every sense, many wish for an English alternative to Avicii’s latest collaboration with Wang  Leehom for the Budweiser STORM festival! Allowing us to appreciate the intricacy and musical genius of the two artists, a juxtaposition of revelry and heartbreak, this track gives us goosebumps that last long after the track is over. Here’s what Wang Leehom had to say about the collaboration.

This collaboration is a fearless smash of genre boundaries and their song will mark a defining moment in the history of music. Under one of the biggest EDM platform in Greater China, Budweiser STORM will present the first collaboration of its kind and catapult the new era in music.

The song “Lose myself” is a song of many layers, filters and complexity. The lyric depicts a tragic love story while the music echoes the sound of celebration and rebirth. The song is about learning to break free and having the courage to let go. Where east meets west, where two genres collide, the soulful C-Pop infused with the euphoric dance beats will take you to a place where you will lose yourself and then be reawakening, you will forget and then remember.

An infusion of Avicii‘s idiosyncratic big room sound and Leehom‘s soulful and poignant vocals, ‘Lose Myself’ is sublime and unique and has hopefully set a precedent for further inter-cultural and cross-genre collaborations. Watch the preview they dropped in July or listen to their track below!
