The official video for Dynamite was out on the 4th of July and has surprised viewers who gain a fresh perspective on Afrojack. In the video, Afrojack and Snoop Dogg arrive at a party which seems to be full of scantily clad women, some of which seem to be busting a somewhat harlem shake-y move, alongside a scattered number of men. The video features the characteristic Snoop Dogg throne not even a minute into the video, alongside kaleidoscopic views of the party which thrives on three things: Snoop’s fat blunt, the pink haired lady twerking in slow motion in her marijuana print pants, and a large quantity of what seems to be the ‘green fairy’ itself – absinthe.
I believe the cracking walls and ground are supposed to convince us that the party is a groundbreaking one and the ultimate cherry on top of this party is, you guessed it right, the exploding, gluten infused butt cheeks! I’m not sure what they are trying to tell us but this video is a cliché and seems to be yelling in a (not so) subtle manner that Afrojack and Snoop Dogg are still ‘cool’ with their partying and stripper lookalikes. This video just makes me want to pat Afrojack’s back, who made a foolish decision by associating himself with the popularly known ‘Sell-Out’ Snoop. There’s honestly only one positive aspect to this track, which is that the song is no longer than 4 minutes.
Will the real Afrojack please stand up?
