House Music Veteran Harry “Choo Choo” Romero is known to be one of the most definitive influences in Dance music today. Alongwith good friends Erick Morillo and Jose Nunez, the American legend was a critical peg on the Subliminal records stand. A dark horse when it came to House music, the celebrated Harry Romero made his mark with the irresistible ‘Tania‘ which he had released on his own sub-label Bambossa. And now, the alluring Toolroom Records breathe life back into the classic record, that surfaced 13 years ago, with a special two part remixes pack, the first of which is up for release and includes stellar remixes by Riva Starr, Purple Disco Machine and Filterheadz.
With plenty of Latin influences on the original, the light hearted soulful melody is given three stunning revamps by three of House Music’s most celebrated contemporary figures. First up on remix duties is Stefano Miele aka Riva Starr, who is known to be one of the most skilled technicians in the studio when it comes to remixes. He builds on the original theme and melody, whilst only infusing a modern day club-friendly bass line and breakdown percussion that remodels the original perfectly for times of today. Purple Disco Machine, who have been in fine form this year and are notching up win after win with their wizardry, infuse some really ethnic texture into the track. With a slightly slower BPM rate, the arrangement includes the original melody amidst plenty of FX and atmospherics, riding on a chugging new counter-melody that oscillates the sound spectrum while keeping the bass quotient consistent. Additional vocal stabs and cheeky percussion makes this track one of the finest from their collection! Belgian brothers Filterheadz, who know Techno like no other, add their traditional flavors to the classic as they add a tribal driving drumloop into the original completely revamping the track into a dark sinister afterhours masterpiece. With so much talent delivering on the three remixes, this pack is a must-have for any Dance Music enthusiast!
