As we all have come to know, dancehall trio Major Lazer recently scripted history with their colossal performance in Cuba this past weekend. A mammoth celebration of sorts, the electronic act marked the official resuming of ties between the heavily conflicted countries. Hosting a crowd loaded packing insane numbers, figuratively 400,000, the ‘Lean On‘ creators successfully showed off one of the most important performances in their career.
Talking to Charlie Rose in an interview about their recently concluded performance, the Mad Decent boss gave major insight into how influential their show was, both on a personal and diplomatic level. Cruising down the streets of Havana, the Grammy winning producer also dished out on some major news about his supergroup project Jack Ü. He told the veteran host:
“Before I came down to you, I was sitting on my computer editing some new songs for the Jack Ü project, because we want to put something out around Coachella.”
There you have it! Amidst all the rumors surrounding new Jack Ü music, Diplo put those to rest with an official confirmation. All we’ve got to do is wait until April knocks on our doors. You can check out the conversation between Diplo and Charlie Rose here!
