The year started with a bang for Linus Eklow, aka Style of Eye. After his single ‘kids’ peaked charts across the world, making every one fall in love with his work, eklow teamed up with Christian Karlsson of Miike Snow to forge the live electronic super duo that’s been on everybody’s lips, Galantis. Eklow has come a long way within a short span of time, having produced an iTunes Dance Chart-topping EP and belting a sold out US tour with the fellow Swede.
The DJ prodigy reverts back to his much-loved Style of Eye moniker as he hand-picks some of the freshest talents that lay down their own versions of his latest record, ‘The Game’. The remix package that released on 23rd May, features 3 new acts namely SAL, Asalto and Digital Lab & Kalendr.
SAL, the Swedish producer that gave the first remix, stays true to the synths of the original whilst adding an electro twist of his own to proceedings, where as for the second remix, Asalto utilizes rhythmic and anthemic tones that fuel the already fired up percussions, making it more peppy and enticing. Finally, for remix number three, Digital Lab & Kalendr offer thrilling buildups with intense electro synthesizers to generate their own dub remix and grab a coveted spot on the package.
Eklow and his remixers he’s enlisted have prepared the perfect package to break the monotony of dragging progressive sounds. With an extensive cache of new records at the ready, a monster 2014 Swedish tour lined up, and a new album on the horizon, it’s looking like it will be yet another electrifying summer for Style of Eye and his fans.
