Questlove is the drummer for Grammy Award- winning band, The Roots and he’s producing a brand new show to be aired on VH1 called Soundclash. Invoking the “battle of the bands” concept, the basis of the show is simple- every week, three up and coming artists from different genres shall share a stage and perform each other’s songs and more. If that doesn’t sound appealing enough, here’s the cherry- Diplo shall be hosting it!
The first episode is set to air on July 23rd, and Lil Wayne, Fall Out Boy and London Grammar are the guests. For the second episode, stay tuned on July 30th, as Ed Sheeran, Sia and Grouplove shall be the coveted guests. With Diplo’s hilarious personality and obvious in-depth knowledge of multiple genres, we can’t think of anyone to suit this role better.
