First heard on ABGT050 , this is another indication of the new direction they’re going with. Yes their old sound was astounding, Tri-state is an all time favorite album for many of their fans, but this is just lovely and a really modern take that goes hard in a sophisticated way. Firm at #1 on the Beatport trance chart, ‘Hello’ lies in a similar vein to Above & Beyond’s December release, ‘Mariana Trench’.

The legends’ beloved label Anjunabeats, which was founded back in 2000, has just reached its 300th release adding up to one hell of a reason to celebrate and the only best way you know has to be with an influential production from Above & Beyond themselves.

Intended to be played at the peak hour of a concert when the thrust of a set is apparently unstoppable ‘Hello’ is definitely a persuasive production to say the least. It starts off with hard hitting electro-saw synth stabs, lending a very gritty feel to the production. This follows through till Above & Beyond’s signature, atmospheric sounds come into play, with a dreamy ethereal vocal sample that gives way to uplifting chord-play, backed be the grandeur of a piano. All this, coupled with dazzling arpeggios, make for a perfectly composed break down, which is exactly their forte. The energy then quickly comes back around to lead you into an extended build up, that teases you to an extent where-in you just cant wait to let go and lose yourself to the beat.

We certainly have no hesitation in saying that Above & Beyond’s latest will be a crowd favorite at future shows.
