Zedd‘s upcoming track, “Find You”, has been making waves for the past few weeks ever since news of it finding a place on the soundtrack of the forthcoming film, Divergent and it’s partnership premiere with Bud Light Platinum emerged.
Taking the buzz a little further, just a few hours ago, Thump released a ‘lyrics only’ music video for the single. The track maintains Zedd’s knack of superbly blending contemporary pop with his high energy house music production skills.
Despite the gentle start, the noted DJ/producer’s signature electro sound explodes on the listener just a few beats in, bringing back the same high level of energy and intricate progressive work of his album, released last year. On the track, Zedd has invited two familiar faces, in his previous collaborators, Matthew Koma and Miriam Bryant, who come together to create flawless harmonies that echo over melodic piano riffs.
It’s pretty easy to understand why “Find You”, has garnered the appreciation it already has and was quickly picked up by the aforementioned notable names as the talented vocalist duo walk the fine line of balancing a commercial campaign and an artist’s work by seamlessly blending a concoction of the Bud Light Platinum campaign’s slogan ‘Turn Up Your Night’ with Zedd’s electrifying soundscape.
Speaking about his collaborators, Zedd said, “Whenever I need help on a top-line they are my go-to people”. He further added that, “Once Miriam and Matt sang their parts on ‘Find You,’ it was impossible to fake that emotion, which is the reason I kept both on the song”.
The ‘lyric video’ comes as the first opportunity to check out “Find You”, check out the track now and let us know in the comment section below, how you think it stacks up next to his previous chart topping tracks, “Clarity” and “Stay The Night“.
