They may be known to their friends and fans as Kalle & Kaveh, but Pleasurekraft as they call their dance avatar is definitely worth a listen. Their new mix of titled Sinister Strings is definitely an understated name for a track as this one puts the ball out of the ‘tech house’ park.
Calling it their labor of love – Sinister Strings is their interpretation of 1997’s infamous “Nightmare” by Brainbug. You’ve got to be a serious Tech House nazi to understand this deconstruction of music as it awakens music notes in places on your body, you didn’t know existed. Deep, empathetic and strangely personal the single begins with a rhythmic beat the music moves into alien grounds with eclectic synths and percussions. Not so heavy on the beats, but yet effective enough to put you in a state of mental bliss the track pulls into demonic territory with singular water droplet like sounds. The track shows immense capacity and terminator like efforts aimed at pure musicasm.
