Rumor has it that Insomniac Events, headed by the erstwhile business savvy Pasquale Rotella, has filed for the trademark of ‘E. D. SEA’. While the name certainly speaks volumes of what to expect, the documents involved include mentions of “Arranging of cruises; arranging of tours and cruises; boat cruises; organizing and conducting adaptive travel excursions, namely, boat cruises for individuals; Travel, excursion and cruise arrangement”. And although we haven’t heard much else and the company is still mum about their future plans, it looks like Insomniac Events is about to steer its act out into the vast blue.

With Holy Ship!!! being such a world wide success, this move seems genius and furthers Insomniac’s influence on the electronic music scene. Even Coachella is navigating uncharted waters with a winter festival on the SS Coachella. Insomniac’s already taken the world by storm, and now with the idea of E.D.SEA, Pasquale Rotella is on the right track to create a universal empire that will be available to everyone  within the next few years. All aboard? Aye, aye Captain!
