John O’Callaghan fear. Ria Moran – I’ll Follow (EP)

It’s so nice to hear some pure, unadulterated driving and uplifting trance in the midst of the onslaught of a slurry of trouse and electro-trance. Not that the new school of Trance is not appreciated, but sometimes you’ve got to stick to your roots. Props to Irish born John O’Calaghan for doing just that, with his newest release on Subculture Records, “I’ll Follow”.
Released on Subculture, It contains the Original Mix as well as remixes by Solarstone, Menno De Jong and Sneijder.
John O’Callaghan fear. Ria Moran – I’ll Follow (Original Mix)
Featuring the haunting yet angelic vocals of Ria Moran, this seamless masterpiece was first heard at ASOT 600 in Beirut, driving the crowd to tizzy with emotion. With John O’ Callaghan’s classic Trance beats, driving sub bass, uplifting and euphoric synths, albuilding up to a serene piano guided breakdown. Ria Moran’s soothing vocals are all that reach out to you, once you’ve lost yourself to the gorgeous melody. It then picks you right back up with an exhilarating synth riff that eventually sends you to almost surreal realms of human emotion.
John O’Callaghan fear. Ria Moran – I’ll Follow (Menno De Jong Remix)
Dutchman Menno De Jong, one of the fastest growing acts on the Trance scene, uses a lot more emphasis on the synth aspect of production. Much more euphoric, sound wise, De Jong produces the type of sound that’s slowly dying out of modern day trance.
John O’Callaghan fear. Ria Moran – I’ll Follow (Sneijder Remix)
O’Callaghan’s fellow countryman, Sneijder, adds his own version of uplifting trance to the original. With a lot more focus on a driving bass line, this version is practically designed to lift you up and send you directly way beyond the Earth’s atmosphere.
John O’Callaghan fear. Ria Moran – I’ll Follow (Solarstone Pure Remix)
You know somethings are just destined for Trance gold when Solarstone adds his ‘Pure’ touch to it. Featuring a synth + paino combination very reminiscent of old school trance beauty’s. Sort of akin to early sounds of Armin Van Buuren’s Gaia Project, it just adds to the goodness of the entire I’ll Follow package.
