Know Your Artist: Swanky Tunes

Of all the exciting new & fresh sounds coming out of Russia these days, Swanky Tunes ranks among the most noteworthy. Starting out in 1998, the group experimented with various different electronic styles in pursuit of their own sound; from techno sounds mixed with vintage synthesizers to a distinctly big-beat influenced sounds. These days their sound carries hints of techno, electro-80s and the contemporary progressive house movements are all finding their way into the mix.
They were awarded the “Best Musical Group” in 2006 and 2007 at the Russian Dance Music Awards and they are currently ranked #14 among the Top 100 DJs of Russia., while first striking outside their homeland with releases signed on several famous international Dance imprints such as Refune, Mixmash, Spinnin’, Size and CR2.

Supported by the best international DJ’s and always quoted by Dance Music heavy weights like Tiesto, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Laidback Luke and many others, nothing seems to stop Swanky Tunes.
In 2011, they released one of the most played dancefloor tracks, ‘Sending My Love,’ along with R3hab & Max’C. This track definitely revealed them to the world club scene. Since then, they always move forward in studio, remixing big names and releasing their own dance floor bangers, with their unique sound trademark.

In 2012, they launched their own label Showland, which is also the name of their monthly radio show, aired all around the world. Recently in 2013 they added the club banger, “We Know” to their already noteworthy catalogue and also had their collaboration with Hard Rock Sofa, “Here We Go” featured in the sixth installment of the Fast & Furious series.
