Slightly reminiscent of Justin Timberlake, Dan Black is someone who cannot be missed. Add a lethal combination of the ever sexy Kelis and you get ‘Hearts’. The electronica/alternate man of the hour earlier used to be a part of the band ‘Servant’ before it split in 2007 and he moved to become a solo artist. The single ‘Hearts’ was released in collaboration with Kelis in May 2013 under Ultra Records and has been doing the rounds ever since.

The original is the nice blend of yin and yang or two opposite poles which results in a wonderful crowd pleaser. Now Kaskade and R3hab have added a flavour which could only possibly be done by these two very different artists. A little bit of a bizarre combination of two unique sounds, it makes for a unadulterated track which does not take anything away from the originality of the track. The track has Dan singing ‘Coz the heart, it never sleeps’ over and over again pumped up with kicking beats. Add Kelis to the equation and you have something better than anyone else. Fast, upbeat tones which are slightly robotic makes this one stand out. It is a promising remix and then again you cannot expect anything less from Kaskade and R3hab.
