Afrojack – Annie’s Theme

Sunburn Noida 2012 is less than a month away and this track could not have come at a better time. If somebody needs to get a feel of what to expect when this Dutch sensation takes over a main stage then you have to listen to this.

This track exemplifies what Afrojack is all about – high-pitched pin drops, mixture of fury and scattered synth play and lastly the standard Afrojack beepy vibes. By using his glitchy Dutch House drops, Mr. Jack has clearly kept to his roots with this track.  Some parts of it will also bring back memories of his 2010 smash hit “Replica”. The name “Annie’s Theme” is not permanent as Afrojack himself says, “it’s a temporary name. It’s a piece of music – it doesn’t really need a name”.

“Annie’s Theme” was first premiered by Afrojack at Ultra Music Festival in Miami this year and was also played by his good friend Steve Aoki at the Electric Daisy Carnival in June this year. The video below is from the preview of the track on Annie’s Mac’s radio show BBC Radio One. No release date is confirmed for the track so far.

After releasing hits like “Can’t Stop Me Now” and “Rock The House” this year, all we can hope is that Afrojack would bring in a pure Dutch House track like this as part of his set come October 7th!

Someone keep the Grey Goose bottle ready please.
