Tiësto and Axwell to perform at 2014 Aspen X Games!
If you’re fond of dance music and extreme sports, this is one event you cannot afford to miss. Come January 25th-26th, the ESPN X Games shall land in Aspen, Colorado, where hundreds of extreme sport athletes shall be vying for the coveted X Games gold medal. Having just been founded this year, they’ve already seen the likes of Major Lazer, Zedd & Calvin Harris performing. For 2014′s installment, dance music veterans Tiesto and Axwell shall be headlining the closure event on Sunday. Fans can purchase tickets for only $30 dollars, while VIP accommodations, such as food & beverage service and heated platform viewing, are available for $150. Swedish House Mafia hint at possible documentary!
Just when we thought the story of the eminent trio, Swedish House Mafia had been put to rest, another piece of media has emerged which in all likelihood shall revive the hype surrounding the super group consisting of the three extraordinarily talented men from Sweden namely, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso & Steve Angello.
What seems to be a documentary trailer, titled “Clip One”, has just been uploaded to the official Swedish House Mafia Youtube account and features some of the most emotionally charged and striking footage of the Swedes, mostly from their iconic, record-breaking One Last Tour. The unmatchable success of the Swedish trio’s landmark farewell concerts only proves why it would be a focal point in any Swedish House Mafia movie and the short trailer is sure to take you back in time when you found yourselves raging at one of those groundbreaking concerts.

Michael Calfan – Falcon (Original Mix)
Following a stellar debut courtesy the hit track Resurrection (which Axwell saw fit to remix, FYI), Michael Calfan has come a long way. His latest tune is called Falcon, and we’re treated to a very decent, out of the way production, something that has surprised us, considering the French artist’s production skills. Straying out of his boundaries, he’s developed a very like-able track, a key worthy mention being the fantastic melodic build up, leading to the hard-hitting drop. Axwell presents ‘Official Video Competition’ for his Beatport #1 ‘I AM’
The global dance icon and five-time Grammy nominated Swedish Producer/DJ Axwell, along with collaborators Sick Individuals and Taylr Renee want you to make an official music video for their new chart-topper ‘I Am’!
The track is a collaboration between the Swedish producer and Dutch duo Sick Individuals and features euphoric vocals from Taylr Renee. Feel free to draw inspiration from the angel on the album cover, otherwise the creative direction is completely open – so listen to the track and get creative!
Deadline for submissions is 24th November 2013, 23:59 GMT.
Awards & Judging
The winner will receive $5,000 and have their video used as an official music video for ‘I Am’.
Outstanding videos will also be nominated for the 2013 Genero Awards and in the running for $50,000 in awards.
The winner and finalists will be chosen by Axwell, Sick Individuals, Taylr and Genero.

Axwell‘s progressive house anthem ‘Center of the Universe’ has been broken down, reworked and revamped into an even grander electro-house remix by up and coming Polish DJ/producer Blinders. Officially out now on Axtone, this remix of ‘Center of the Universe’ is set to become a classic.
This remix has ramped everything up into an even more anthemic piece of big room electro-house with harder kicks, uncompromising electro synths, and bigger build-ups, leaving space for the reworked vocals of Swedish singer Magnus Carlsson to ring through.
The new remix was originally a re-edit sent to the label as a demo that is now being released in it’s own right – A clear indication that Axtone do check through their submissions to find genuine talent!

Michael Calfan can best be remembered for coming onto the scene, when Axwell decided to remix his mamoth track Resurrection. Following all the acclaim and good fortune, he’s now dropped a short preview of his upcoming single Falcon, to be released soon via Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings. Combining a variety of synths right upto the build up, this French producer clearly knows what he’s doing. A very Madeon-like build up, we’re highly impressed with where this tune’s headed, right upto the W&W sounding drop. Releasing on Oct 21st, check it out below!

Axwell just announced that he will be headlining Sunburn Goa 2013 this year on the 29th of December, returning to the festival after 2 years. Sick Individuals & Axwell feat. Taylr Renee – I AM (Original Mix)
Breakthrough DJ/Producer duo Sick Individuals and vocalist Taylr Renee have collaborated with electronic music stalwart Axwell on a stunning new release that comes hot on the heels of the Swede’s chart topper, ‘Center Of The Universe‘. Titled, “I AM”, the concoction of talents here results in a driving yet euphoric progressive house track whose trajectory is constantly lifting the track to higher levels. The vocals add an unforgettable melody that lends the track an ethereal yet optimistic atmosphere.
Originally signed during last year’s Amsterdam Dance Event, ‘I AM’ was debuted by Axwell in Dallas on New Years Eve where following a fan video upload the moniker ‘Lights All Night ID’ was soon attached and from then speculation about the track soon grew on the blogosphere.
Speaking about his collaborators Axwell said, “Sick individuals have been on my radar for quite some time and when I heard the track it was super nice, but needed a bit of work. I loved the vibe in the song – you know I always need to feel something and Taylrs vocal made me feel good on so many levels – so I signed it to my label, Axtone Records, and shortly after the guys suggested we finish the track together as a collaboration and I was happy to oblige!”

Hard Rock Sofa & Swanky Tunes – Stop In My Mind (Original Mix)
After collaborating in a B2B set at Ultra Music Festival 2013, the Russian duo of Hard Rock Sofa and their counterpart trio, Swanky Tunes have dished out their monster of a collaboration called Stop In My Mind. Imagine, a monster tune created by FIVE maniacal producers! A little different from their usual hard-core electro stuff, this tune has more of a progressive feel to it. Defining big room peak-time house, the synths are booming, and the drop is laden with heavy dance floor ammo, surprisingly reminding us of the drop in Axwell & Sebastian Ingrosso’s Roar.
