What has been a long time coming for live music fans around the country, one of India’s most exciting music festivals, Vh1 Supersonic finally decided to show up today for the reveal of the phase one lineup for their 2019 edition. Following the success of their genre fluid fifth edition earlier this year which saw performances by the likes of Major Lazer, Alt-J, Sean Paul and many more, the Pune-based festival has now unveiled their first two headliners alongside a flurry of other talented names.
Kicking things off is LA-based producer/DJ and unarguably one of today’s biggest dance music superstars, Marshmello who will be returning to Vh1 Supersonic for his second consecutive appearance at the festival for their sixth edition. And next up is the globally renowned act Bonobo who will be making his presence felt at the festival with a thrilling headlining performance on Vh1 Supersonic’s LIVE Stage, accompanied by his 8-piece ensemble.
Joining the headlining acts will be several other international stars including the likes of Cubicolor (Live), bass music kingpin TroyBoi, Polyphia and Tropkillaz. Accompanied by a stellar homegrown roster, the 2-day festival will be graced by names like Arjun Vagale, BLOT!, Blackstratblues, Lost Stories, Zaeden and Tienas amongst others. Moreover, techno fans can also rejoice because Awakenings will be returning to Indian shores once again to curate all the action on the festival’s very own techno stage.
