New Delhi-based singer/songwriter Prateek Kuhad is yet to put a wrong foot forward during his ongoing stint as unarguably, one of India’s most talented artists. And following the humongous success of his ‘cold/mess‘ EP which was released earlier this year that has gone onto reach international shores, Prateek has finally shared the music video for its titular cut.
Directed by Ukrainian filmmaker, Dar Gai, the newly released video almost translates into a stunning short film, taking the viewer through the bittersweet journey of a love that is equally intoxicating as it is toxic. “Prateek’s music is easy to listen to. Yet behind the melody, the lyrics dig deep at a broken heart, loneliness and a level of raw honesty which can sometimes leave you, for a lack of better word, uncomfortable. Uncomfortable because it’s honest,” Gai says. Talking about the video and his process, Prateek adds,
“The concept for the video stemmed from the album artwork – two lovers in a warm, deep embrace, yet underwater. Deep in love, but suffocating. I write my songs with straightforwardness and honesty, and the visual focus was to express it in the same way – exactly how it is.”

Moreover, Prateek Kuhad also revealed that he will heading on a North America tour in 2019 which will see him perform 15 shows across New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, Toronto, Vancouver and other cities from March 17 to April 8.
