And with the ‘desi bass‘ culture currently being at its peak, some of our finest homegrown acts have continued to raise the bar even further up with their groundbreaking creations. One such name who has been consistently inflicting major damage is Bengaluru-based producer/DJ Gurbax. After rising to fame with hits like ‘Boom Shankar‘ and ‘Get It!‘, the talented act has finally introduced the world to his debut EP ‘Heady Cuts‘.

The 7-track effort courtesy Gurbax which makes sure not to hold back during any moment throughout the proceedings, his brand new body of work exceeds all expectations to be recognized as one of the best electronic releases to come out of the Indian sub-continent in 2017. Led by the eclectic ‘Nightro‘, the first offering from the EP is a fitting introduction to the producer’s diverse palette of sounds which also samples B.o.B and Nicki Minaj’s ‘Out Of My Mind‘.

Nextup is ‘Aghori‘ with fellow Bengaluru-based producer Mr. Doss which he touts as the successor to his viral hit ‘Boom Shankar‘. A melting pot of dubstep, trap and hip-hop sounds, the ruthless banger is relentless in its approach, and makes sure to keep listeners on their toes till the last second. Additionally, upon the single’s initial release on Apple Music, it climbed to #1 in the Electronic Music Charts in record time.

Serving up a tasteful concoction of different genres, right from soul and jazz to hip-hop and bass with ‘Atlanta, My Love..‘, the tracks next in line namely ‘Wreckanize‘ and ‘Lucid Fuck‘ turn out to be two visceral gems which transcend beyond the bass realm. Besides boasting of a sophisticated sonic nature, each track also showcases Gurbax’s talent for crafting innovative masterpieces. As the monumental EP comes to a close, we are treated to ‘Boom Shankar‘ and ‘Get It!‘ featuring Wazulu.
