Novka‘s “Dat Vibe” is one of those standout records from 2015 when future house and bass house were just taking over. It was unfortunate that the artists disbanded after their debut EP. Since then, Matroda has taken on his solo project and his work is quite impressive. All his recent remixes and originals are a strong narrative of his unique and dark Bass House sound.
Now, Matroda has taken over “Dat Vibe” with a Part 2 where he gives his dark and minimal taste to the track. He takes away the funk and bounciness of the original but keeps the South American vocal sample intact, to build his minimalistic builds and breaks around it. Dropping hard, “Dat Vibe Pt. 2” is sure to smash the dance floors! Supported by the likes of Arty, Don Diablo, Showtek and more, this rendition takes a bit different direction than the original.
