Emerson, Digweed & Muir, a collaborative project of legend John Digweed, Nick Muir and Darren Emerson created havoc of highest order last year, when their track ‘Fanfare’ saw light of the day. Coming off the same success now, is their next release called ‘Tracer’ and easily the most suitable for Bedrock Digital’s milestone 100th digital release. The infectious and immensely powerful EP consists of two remixes of the original, one from Berlin’s Watergate resident Ruede Hagelstein and another from Darren Emerson himself.
First on the EP, ‘Tracer’, is loaded with menacing, fizzing energy and sets the sinister vibe already as it stands clear with a pulsating and peak-time appeal. Following the title number is Hagelstein’s captivating rendition which bristles with unrivaled electronic detail to create an even darker atmosphere. Wrapping up the package is Emerson’s Womb Mix, a stripped back techno banger, showcasing his supremely individualistic creative flair to form a complete dance floor destroyer. The ‘Tracer’ EP is as solid as it should be with the heavyweight trio behind it.
