One of the best dance music albums from last year has been Cubicolor’s “Brainsugar”. Deep and inspiring to the core with mesmerising melodies and euphoric undertones, the album marked as a milestone for the house trio. Bringing back the enchanting sounds from the album in a different way now is Patrice Bäumel’s remix of leading track ‘Dead End Thrills’. Certainly one of the most astounding works by Bäumel till date, his rendition begins with hypnotic and wobbly synth pattern and leads with punchy basslines towards the main part that preserves vocals just right. Beautiful hi-hats accompanied by uplifting sharp elements make the track even more interesting as it reaches for the climax. Big one on Anjunadeep to kick off 2017, Patrice Bäumel’s remix of Cubicolor’s ‘Dead End Thrills’ lands on January 13th. Until then, stream the preview below:
