India’s burgeoning dance music scene has come leaps and bounds in the last 5 years. With some of the biggest artists in the dance music spectrum touring India on a constant basis, either for arena shows or headlining festivals, India has made its mark.
The current festival scene in India is dominated by Sunburn Goa, Vh1 Supersonic and Enchanted Valley Carnival at the moment, with all three of them taking place during December. However, a brand new festival set to take place in Hyderabad is all set to give these biggies some serious competition. Spinland, touted as the largest annual electronic music festival to be held in India, will be making its debut in February, across the dates 12, 13 and 14th February.
The festival has revealed the lineup for the inaugural edition, with Egyptian trance titans Aly & Fila, Dutch DJ Headhunterz, and Italian duo Marnik set to headline, with the likes of Paris & Simo, Pig & Dan, Arjun Vagale, Gregor Salto, Ash Roy, Ankytrixx, Anish Sood, Tuhin Mehta, Progressive Brothers, Praveen Achary and many more playing at Spinland.
One of the main attractions at the festival will be the main stage. Designed like an Octopus and aptly titled as the ‘Octopus Stage‘, the stage will be hosting the headliners and will feature mind bending visuals, pyro techniques, CO2 guns and confetti. The Techno Stage will feature some of the finest artists under techno, tech house, house, and deep house, and will be the perfect stop for those who like their music unadulterated.
