A month ago, we brought you the news that Zac Efron and Emily Ratajkowski will be starring in a dance music film titled “We Are Your Friends“, to be directed by Max Joseph of Catfish fame. The film, which is due to be released next year, and is still in its filming phase, has had its first look video premiered on YouTube.
“It’s set in the worlds of electronic music and the Hollywood nightlife, where an aspiring 23-year-old DJ named Cole spends his days scheming with his childhood friends and his nights working on the one track that will set the world on fire.
All of this changes when he meets a charismatic but damaged older DJ named James who takes him under his wing. Things get complicated, however, when Cole starts falling for James’ much younger girlfriend, Sophie. With Cole’s forbidden relationship intensifying and his friendships unraveling, he must choose between love, loyalty, and the future he ‘We Are Your Friends’ is expected to make its debut on the big screen in 2015, so in the meantime, those interested can check out some behind-the-scenes footage for the movie.”
