Dance music prodigy Lane 8 has had a massive start in 2016 already with his EP landing on Suara and debut album getting a remix treatment, and now to top it all is his announcement of his own record label. Known as This Never Happened, Daniel’s imprint will be a platform of releases that’d gel-up exactly with his much adored sound. And what could better be than the deep house expert giving a taste of fresh sound of what it is going to be like on the brand new label. Lane 8’s debut release ‘Fingerprint’ on the label marks his return to the mesmerizing deep house style that we know of. Having proper sunrise vibes all over with an impeccable melodic sequence, it is later accompanied by a smooth bass line to form a mesmerizing groove.
This Never Happened wouldn’t stay just a record label, but will also be a series of events with which Lane 8 aims to provide fans an unreal musical experience. The concept behind the project is to curate a distraction-free zone, one without phones, cameras, electronics, photos or any documentation, and instead all about experiencing surging energy that’s transferred through in-the-moment vibrations and sound waves at any musical venue.
