Florida based duo VERSA, comprising of the fantastic talents of Sierra Kay and Blake Harnage have received heaps of praise following their Neon EP release back in January. The track ‘Illusions‘ especially, got rave reviews for its dark melodic overture that finds a synergy between ambient atmospherics and cutting-edge studio production. And now, their good friend and compatriot Matt Lange gives his own personal touch to the crown jewel, through a gritty tech-imbibed interpretation with a touch of good-ol Lange-esque creativity!
The remix features some groovy basslines backed by some light percussive work focussing on hi-hats and claps, while the dark atmospherics circle around the buildup. Euphoric female vocals swerve and swivel around the break with additional filters and effects causing a sense of tension, before a melodic string break brings a powerful bass loop! The alluring vocal work combined with the guitar strings backed by a vibrating synthline makes the track an irresistible dance jam, that has the ability to be a perfect transition track or a peak-time banger!
