Axwell /\ Ingrosso have managed to make fans be part of their journey post the heartbreaking separation of the legendary electronic dance music trio that was Swedish House Mafia. They have released a mini documentary covering their journey to Coachella together since Swedish House Mafia’s finale of One Last Tour at UMF’2013. Axwell /\ Ingrosso made a splendid return to the Main Stage at Ultra in 2015. It was an extraordinary experience with plenty of new music for everyone to rave to, making them believe that it certainly was not for the last time.
The documentary – On The Road: From Ultra to Coachella is just under 6 minutes and has the Swedes talking about their journey from Ultra to Coachella. They decided to take a break and head back to Sweden, where they spent some time off and some time in the studio together and collaborate. We are glad they did as it gave us ‘Departures’ and Axwell /\ Ingrosso. They talk about how and why they skipped the year 2014 at Ultra and what the massive return in 2015 felt like.
The documentary also features snippets of how they go about planning each live show and concept and what goes through their minds so as to give the fans what they truly deserve. The documentary also showcases the road to their legendary and one of a kind live Star Wars concept at Coachella that marked the closing of their Spring Tour.
Even though Swedish House Mafia might have broken up, Axwell /\ Ingrosso manage to retain their position as supreme dance music legends and we cannot wait to see what else they have planned in their journey ahead for us as well as for themselves.
