Players will assume the role of one of the iconic Horsemen, known for their distinctive weapons and styles of combat. The game promises a cinematic experience with combat that is both quick and intense, featuring a blend of melee attacks, agile movement, and mystical powers.
Continuation of the Horsemen’s Saga
Darksiders 4 picks up the narrative thread following the conclusion of the original game, focusing on the ongoing adventures of the Four Horsemen. The game will support various modes of play, including solo and split-screen options, along with online cooperative gameplay for two to four players, as per the information available on retail websites.
The Evolution of the Darksiders Series
The Darksiders franchise launched in 2010 with its first game developed by Vigil Games, centering around the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse on a mission to restore balance in a devastated Earth. The series continued with Darksiders 2 in 2012 and saw a new addition, Darksiders 3, in 2018 developed by Gunfire Games. The most recent game before the upcoming release was Darksiders Genesis in 2019, a top-down action game developed by Airship Syndicate.
Following Darksiders Genesis, Gunfire Games developed other notable titles including Remnant: From the Ashes and its sequel, as well as Chronos: Before the Ashes, before returning to the Darksiders franchise.
