Tommy Trash – Monkey See Monkey Do (Remixes EP)
Tommy Trash who is in good terms with deadmau5 for quite a time brings out this Remixes EP of his 2011 Rising Music release “Monkey See Monkey Do” on Joel’s label : mau5trap, after remixing “The Veldt” last year for the label. Tommy who recently conducted a production class for Sonos Studio with deadmau5 only, has been very busy with his touring schedule and presents us with his first release of the year which includes a re-edit of the original track by himself plus remixes from Nom De Strip, Tom Staar and Zero Hero.
Tommy Trash – Monkey See Monkey Do (Tommy Trash Re-Edit)
The interesting sounding original gets an intensifying re-edit by Tommy Trash himself, making it more punchier and better sounding with a twist in the bassline, hear it for yourself.
Tommy Trash – Monkey See Monkey Do (Tom Staar Remix)
Tom Staar is certainly the artists to watch out this year, he successfully remixed “Don’t You Worry Child” for Swedish House Mafia last year which received immense support from the DJs all around and he continues to showcase his remixing skills for this one too. Using the original catchy computerized & bleepy melody brilliantly with some smart percussion work and a powerful bassline setting this to be the best out of the pack.
Tommy Trash – Monkey See Monkey Do (Nom De Strip Remix)
Nom De Strip who recently produced a tremendous remix of deadmau5 & Wolfgang Gartner’s – Channel 42, does justice for this one too presenting a bass heavy and a powerful electro remix.
Tommy Trash – Monkey See Monkey Do (Zero Hero Remix)
The last but not the least in this pack is the remix of Zero Hero, who electrifies the track with pure electro-glitch sounds messing around the original croaky bassline to perfection. Worth a listen!

A – Trak & Tommy Trash – Tuna Melt (Grandtheft Remix)

Grandtheft has gathered much appraise for his grinding electro track , toned down tempo, before slapping listeners in the face with glitch infused bass drops.
The 2012 hit,”Sweet Nothing” featuring the renowned (for her vocals)Florence Welch, received a rendition by Tiesto and Qulinez. But Diplo and Grandtheft’s trap remix stole the show. Now the Canadian producer is back at it, giving listeners another remix driven by the pitch-down drum kicks of trap , and more bass drops.

The Aston Shuffle Vs. Tommy Trash – Sunrise (Won’t Get Lost) [Tommy Trash Version]

It has been nothing less than a landmark year for Aussie Electro producer Tommy Trash. Following up his debut single for Refune alongside Sebastian Ingrosso called ‘Reload’, Tommy puts out his new release on yet another of the infamous Swedish imprints with a debut for Axtone.
Premiered by Axwell at Ushuaia Ibiza for Pete Tong’s Radio One Ibiza special, Tommy injects fellow Aussie club duo The Aston Shuffle‘s track, ‘Won’t Get Lost’ with his own touch of goodness. Dealing in a strong yet melodic surge of mechanical leads and strong Electro beats, ‘Sunrise’ marks the perfect middle ground between Tommy’s trademark productions and Axtone’s knack for tough yet uplifting releases.
Tommy takes The Aston Shuffle’s airy vocals and drives up the intensity with his swelling synths and grinding bass line. The big room sound is perfect for those big festival sets, so its no surprise its already been getting lots of support from house heavy hitters like Thomas Gold, Sebastian Ingrosso, Deniz Koyu and of course, Axwell himself.
Sebastian Ingrosso & Tommy Trash – Reload

Review : Avicii at Radio City Music Hall | New York, NY | 27/09/12 |

It’s been less than 48 hours since I came back from this concert and I still can’t get over the way Avicii tore down this historic venue!
Well for starters, we knew that history would be made on September 26th-27th, 2012 when our man from Sweden became the first DJ to headline this iconic venue in the heart of New York City. What we didn’t know was that he was planning to bring a whole new level of music and a production set (something we get rarely these days) that would blow our minds away.

To be honest, I have seen Avicii play live in the past and music aside; his new production was one of the most captivating things I was looking forward to see.
First premiered at the Coachella festival this year in April, our man brought his now famous 3-D projected head (in other words his DJ booth) that has three unique faces to it. His team had carefully covered the projections of these faces and blended them in a way that you see a single continuous image. The best part about all of this was that Avicii controlled the video content that came on the stage as per the track that was being played by him. The reaction to this set up was massive and makes you realize that apart from the music, the crowd can always look forward to something else as well.

Speaking of music and boy did Avicii absolutely kill it big time at this concert. Not only did he give us so many ID (new/unreleased) tracks but he also managed to bring back the memories of all of his smash hits!
He started his set by giving us a taste of old school by playing Baba O’Riley’s “Teenage Wasteland” and slowly giving the beats of “Fade Into Darkness” on the side. Just as the crowd was settling in, there was this huge pause in the middle of the track and all of a sudden he dropped Deniz Koyu‘s “Bong”. This was followed by the sweet tunes of the track “Stay With Me” which has the vocals of Mike Posner. By now the New York crowd was going nuts and Avicii kept the level flowing by giving us some of his smash hits like “Sunshine”, “Bromance” and “Superlove”.

He showed his love for his schoolmate Otto Knows by playing his remix of “Burns” and then mixing it up with the newly released Syn Cole‘s Creamfields remix of his track “Silhouettes”. Avicii also brought on one of my favorite mashup’s of this year by using the intro beats of Jupiter Ace’s “Glowing In The Dark” and then bringing the 2012 summer anthem “Atom” out of nowhere! For some reason every time “Atom” is played you can feel the crowd jumping up and down.
He continued to keep the tempo up by throwing on a massive mash up of “Rushin” with his new ID track “All You Need Is Love/Summerburst” from earlier this year. Avicii did give the crowd “Levels” and finished the set by playing “Zombie Nation”. The latter being one of the biggest hits with the college crowd here in the States.

My pick of the night was when he gave his respect to the Swedish House Mafia crew by playing two tracks that will surely dominate the sets of their One Last Tour (PS: India Watch Out For This!). He played Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash’s “Reload” all through the way and then before the crowd could get the drop, he brought on “Don’t You Worry Child”. The sound of six thousand people screaming out the vocals was one hell of a sight!
This was his last show for 2012 in New York and considering the magnitude of the occasion; Avicii didn’t disappoint his fans at all. The set may have lasted for just two hours but the overall experience of this concert at this historic venue will never be forgotten!

Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash – Reload

This one took a long time but we are glad that we are sharing it with you guys. First played by Sebastian Ingrosso at the main stage of EDC NYC, this amazing collaboration between him and Tommy Trash is going to be one of the most eagerly awaited releases of the year. The likes of Tiesto, Avicii, Nicky Romero, David Guetta have all played this track in their sets at some of the biggest festivals we have seen this year. You can really hear the blend of influences when you listen to this tune. Mr. Trashs’ signature synth is the energy instrument of the track; this synth along with Ingrosso’s ingenious melodic influence and studio experience is really what makes this tune an all around energy filled monster. “Reload” will be released under Ingrosso’s label Refune Records. No release date has been confirmed yet but this track has all the signs of being a tremendous hit!
