‘Channel 42′ originally produced by deadmau5 in collaboration with Wolfgang Gartner, two of the hottest producers out their in the field made this track from deadmau5 studio album “Album Title Goes Here“. Both of them have also produced together earlier for the track ‘Animal Rights’ included in deadmau5 album “4×4=12″. If you’re a fan of both deadmau5 and Gartner, you can easily distinguish the sounds used by the two producers in ‘Channel 42′ easily, combination of which makes it an incredible track. ‘Channel 42′ get remixes from three very different artists – Nom De Strip, GTA and Eekkoo who bring their unique sounds to this masterpiece.

The gritty chords and original melodies are kept alive by Nom De Strip in his remix using a heavy kick drum, strong buildups with a stomping drop and layering his sounds perfectly in the mix. Premiered by Pete Tong on his radio show, its certainly the best out of this pack.

GTA also lays their hands on this masterpiece, bringing a harsh bassline to it with squeaky build ups and mixing up the original melodies brilliantly. Definitely worth a listen!

Eekkoo, a young producer from Canada who’s getting support from deadmau5 itself playing Eekkoo’s track ‘Kung’ in one of his sets and giving him the opportunity to remix ‘Channel 42′ as well. Eekkoo makes the most out of this opportunity creating a mellowed yet catchy tech house remix of it, using the original melodies in bits and pieces very precisely and profoundly. A difficult remix to build, but Eekkoo manages to sum it up perfectly.
