Avicii & Nicky Romero – I Could Be The One (Remixes)

Avicii & Nicky Romero - I Could Be The One (Remixes)

The one of the most highly anticipated track by Avcii & Nicky Romero – “I Could Be The One” was out at the end of 2012 and the release included two special remixes from Didrick and Audrio as well. But Avicii & Nicky and even the fans wanted more of this track and the Remixes EP for this Beatport #1 track comes out this week, more than 2 months later its release. It features remixes from the young & upcoming artists – Bent Collective, John Christian and Dank.

All three bring their own sounds to the melodic & chord heavy original and its fascinating to see how they twist it into something completely different. Christian’s remix seems to be the best out of this pack, bringing chugging electro bassline and making it more powerful. Dank lays the hard hitting dubstep kicks & snares on the original packed with the signature wobbly bass and swooshing sounds, worth listening. Bent Collective provides with a darker yet effective sounding remix with a drop that will make those ravers out their jump.

Listen & Enjoy the remixes right below and don’t forget to buy it on Beatport if you like them.

Zedd feat. Foxes – Clarity (Remixes EP)

Zedd - Clarity (Remixes)

Zedd released his first studio album – “Clarity” in October 2012 that caught the eyes of whole dance music industry featuring tracks like “Spectrum”, “Lost at Sea (ft. Ryan Tedder)”, “Follow You Down” and “Clarity” itself feat. Foxes. The complete 10-track album is a pleasure to ears and it’s hard to pick out a single best track out of it. After a successful release, Zedd decided to run a remix contest for ‘Clarity’ giving away the acapella and rest of the remix parts which drew many aspiring producers to lay their sound on the masterpiece by Zedd. Some of the unofficial remixes that were noticeable include the one by Vicetone and Aylen. On similar lines to the remix EP of “Spectrum”, this also features remixes ranging a wide variety of genres, from House to electro to trap. This official remix EP receives remixes from the mighty Tiesto, Style of Eye, Brillz and a Union mix by Zedd himself. Check them out below and judge for yourself who steals the spotlight in this pack.

Zedd – Clarity (Tiesto Remix)

Tiesto brings a completely different sound to ‘Clarity’ giving listeners something unique in the form of a graveling drop which might not please everyone, but it can’t be judged entirely until one hears it out loud in the arena.

Zedd – Clarity (Style of Eye Remix)

Style of Eye electro take on ‘Clarity’ certainly fascinates us, distorted bassline and a rough hefty drop brings a thrilling touch to the mellowed original vocals.

Zedd – Clarity (Brillz Remix)

Brillz present us with a trap remix of ‘Clarity’, seems very difficult to pull off a trap version of such vocal and melodic heavy track but Brillz successfully remixes it bringing massive kick drums and signature trap broken beats to it.

Zedd – Clarity (Zedd Union Mix)

Zedd’s Union Mix is an orchestral edit of the original; premiered on The Late Show with David Letterman, this version is certainly a delight to listen and it also showcases Zedd’s skills as musician and a pianist in particular.

Steve Aoki & Angger Dimas vs. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike – Phat Brahms Remixes EP

sd

That’s a shitload of names in one EP , right? The Ep is a mega-collabo with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike , including eight new versions, by Tom Swoon, Coone, 3BallMTY, Wolfpack, Bro Safari & UFO, Clinton VanScriver, Botnek and Cold Blank .

‘Phat Brahms’ was released through Steve Aoki’s notorious production house Dim Mak .  As everyone’s coming from the Drum and bass world and have been experimenting on moombahton sound , this track is the result of marrying those two worlds together , even though there is more moomahton than drum and bass. We can sense what their trying to introduce.

Brahm takes on classical rhythms (a little oldschooled) and gives it an electro house edge. Through each remix Coone carries on pumping hardstyle synths, while VanSchiver inserts some damaging bass.Wolfpack, ColdBlank and 3BallMTY also give in their share of screeching bass, pure moomhahton such as track 9 ,  majestic tunes witnessed in track 7-6-5-4-3, and without forgetting to include hard hitting electro house elements served in track 8 , neatly packaged in one EP.
