Mord Fustang is finally back with an official release after his lovable hit “Taito”, which is one of his best productions till date. This new weirdly titled single “Something Right Meow”, the track which he teased almost 5 months ago is finally up for grab via Plasmapool imprint. The track reminds us of deadmau5 in his early days, the experimental sound filled with electro noises and stimulating synth work with a right dose of beat work. Fustang is definitely the artist to watch out in future; as he always brings out some fresh and new sound in his music which is a bit hard to find these days. Mord Fustang – Something A Bit More [Preview]
Estonian Mord Fustang is fresh in the biz, emulating the DJ he looks up to Deadmau5. Having won the Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the Beatport Music Awards last year, his talent is widely recognized.
His newest preview “Something A Bit More” is stimulated by a retro electro vibe bound with crisp synths. His previous teaser of “Just Want To Give You Something Meow” is just a few days old but a house top dog. It has set the base for comparison between the two. Mord Fustang took 2012 like storm with his notorious releases such as ‘Welcome To The Future EP’, and ‘Champloo’ in september with a new glitch – hop incorporated , but once again went low key .
Today, he returns with ‘ Taioto’ a catchy rhythm and experiments with synth stabs that infuse an element of nu-disco . He holds back the drop as long as he can and then implodes and attacks the track with infectious loops.
This track is surely worth the wait, and explains why Fustang plays it low- key every now and again.
