VEVO brings out an exclusive interview with Avicii entitled “Becoming: Avicii”

Avicii who is a part of VEVO’s artist development program titled Lift, sits together with them for an exclusive interview session titled “Becoming: Avicii”. The 23-year-old Swedish producer who is behind the global smashes “Levels” and “Wake Me Up” and who is about to release his first album, ‘TRUE,’ on September 17 discusses about his rise to stardom.

In VEVO’s “Becoming” profile he explains his early days as an dance music producer, learning how to DJ, and what it feels like to have his music embraced by a worldwide audience. He starts off the interview by explaining that Avicii means “the lowest level of Buddhist hell” and how his real name was already taken up while creating his MySpace page. Tim also tells that his earliest inspiration was house music blogs where he was able to explore new music and he decided to send them a bunch of original material. He said in a result of this, Ash Pournouri spotted him and explained how he reached out to him.
