Disclosure discuss why label pulled off the “Help Me Lose My Mind” video!
There has been alot of speculation revolving around Disclosure’s massive single Help Me Lose My Mind feat London Grammar, the video of which was pulled off by their parent label. (Read more about that here.)
Now in an exclusive interview with Revolt TV, Disclosure talk about why such a strict course of action was followed. The brilliant British producer duo defend themselves by saying the video doesn’t glorify drug use at all, however, to a lot of the viewership, it may seem that the protagonists of the video could have been under the influences, as the video aimed to create a sense of euphoria and people having a good time. But since a large number of comments regarding drug use arose, it was pulled off so as to not hurt or offend any sentiments.

Disclosure’s Help Me Lose My Mind video pulled due to Drug References
One of the highlights from Disclosure’s Settle, what many have hailed as the album of the year, is their collaboration with London Grammar “Help Me Lose My Mind.” The video for this gorgeous track however seems to have faced many issues, and has been pulled off within ours of it’s premier. You probably didn’t see it, because it was very quickly removed by the duo’s label, PMR Records, due to comments received “referencing the use of drugs in the video.”
According to a PMR Records post on Tumblr:
The video for Disclosure’s new single “Help Me Lose My Mind” was revealed this morning and as with previous Disclosure videos, it was about the connection of people having a good time, something that Disclosure want associated with their music and what we hope people have done when they’ve seen the band live or while listening to their music. Unfortunately the video has received a few comments referencing the use of drugs within the video.
PMR feel very strongly against the glamorisation of drugs in any capacity and as such we have made the decision to remove the video.
