Have you watched the show Crystal maze? It used to air years back when EDM was still growing. Well the artist I am talking about is not so old but has been making magic behind the console. Crystal Fighters the artists with the name so apt unveiled the full remix package for their latest “You & I” with selections and sounds from across the musical spectrum.

Yeasayer, Gigamesh, Nathan C ,Kirk Spencer, Sunless ’97 Black Magic are few of the artists who have given the original a whirl and come up with something interesting. The entire collection of mixes released this month hops from one end of the musical journey to the other with deep house, heavy club beats and some wonderful trap.

Yeasayer brings his deep house influenced stylings to the mix, while Gigamesh’s foot thumping number makes you rage and rage. The collection is an eclectic piece put together which includes the psychedelic throw of music by Sunless 97 and Kirk Spencers. It’s edgy, raw and makes you dance senseless. Nathan C adds the right amount of tempo to the original upping the ante for a fantastic finish.

It is not easy to bring a showcase together which has such diverse music but someone the artists involved have managed to pull it off. The album is quite moving in its own way and you will walk away feeling slightly befuddled but thoroughly EDMized nevertheless.
