Screamfest Horror Film Festival Announces 25th Year Lineup
The Screamfest Horror Film Festival, proudly known as the oldest horror film festival in the U.S., has unveiled its program for the upcoming 25th edition. The event is scheduled to run from October 7 to October 16 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
The festival will kick off with the premiere of BT Meza’s “Affection,” featuring Jessica Rothe. The movie revolves around Ellie, a woman plagued by a mysterious condition that causes her memory to reset repeatedly. With each reset, she struggles to recognize her own husband and daughter, while also experiencing eerie glimpses of a life she doesn’t recall.
Adding to the festival’s unique attractions, attendees will have the chance to engage in an exclusive gameplay screening of Clive Barker’s “Hellraiser: Revival.” This survival horror action game, developed by Saber Interactive, brings players into the chilling universe of the “Hellraiser” series, confronting them with the iconic villain Pinhead. Doug Bradley, celebrated for his portrayal of Pinhead, returns to the franchise after two decades.
Festival founder Rachel Belofsky expressed her enthusiasm about the festival, “We are thrilled to welcome back the aficionados of horror to Screamfest as we celebrate our 25th edition, featuring a fresh array of terrifying tales from across the globe,” she stated in a press release.
