Amazon's Reacher Season 3 the Most-Watched Prime Video Season Since Fallout

The third season of “Reacher” has set new records on Amazon, becoming the most-watched return season on Prime Video and achieving the highest viewership of any season on the platform since “Fallout” in its initial 19-day release period.

The series stars Alan Ritchson as Reacher, a former Major in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps, who drifts across the United States inevitably finding himself embroiled in various predicaments and confrontations with criminals. Known for his formidable physical and intellectual capabilities, Reacher is a force to be reckoned with.

In the latest season, Reacher encounters a new challenge in the form of Olivier Richters, a Dutch actor whose towering stature of 7 feet 2 inches overshadows even Ritchson.

Variety reports that the third season attracted an impressive 54.6 million viewers worldwide within its first 19 days of release. This viewership not only highlights the show’s broad appeal but also marks a slight increase of 0.5% from the viewership figures of Season 2 during the same period.

The show’s popularity extends beyond the United States, attracting significant audiences internationally, particularly in the U.K., Germany, and Brazil. This global interest has contributed to more than half of the show’s viewer base being from outside the U.S.

For comparison, “Fallout” garnered 65 million viewers in its first 16 days in April 2024, and “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” Season 2 attracted 40 million viewers in the 11 days following its August 2024 debut.

Given the success of Season 3, it’s no surprise that Amazon has already confirmed Season 4 of “Reacher,” which was greenlit even before the third season premiered.
