During a recent shoot of “The India House,” produced by Ram Charan of “RRR” fame, a massive water tank failure led to unexpected flooding and damaged equipment. The incident took place near Shamshabad, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, India, earlier this week.
The mishap occurred during the filming of an intricate ocean scene on a set specifically built for this purpose. A water tank used to create tidal wave effects suddenly ruptured, causing a deluge of water to sweep forcefully across the set.
Social media videos, which quickly went viral, captured scenes of the crew members trying to navigate through the swiftly rising waters while attempting to salvage as much filming equipment as possible. The clips showed the production team in a frantic effort to manage the flood and evacuate the area.
In response to the flood, lead actor Nikhil Siddhartha posted on the social platform X, reassuring fans of the safety of the cast and crew. He expressed gratitude towards the alert crew and the precautions that had been in place, which helped avert any injuries. “We r all Safe. Sometimes in our Quest to give the Best cinematic Experience we take Risks. Today we survived a Huge mishap thanks to the Alert Crew and Precautions taken. We lost Expensive Equipment but by gods grace there was no human damage. #IndiaHouse,” he shared, along with a video from the chaotic scene.
Producer Abhishek Agarwal, collaborating through Abhishek Agarwal Arts with Ram Charan and Vikram Reddy’s V Mega Pictures, also communicated via X about the incident: “A mishap occurred on the sets of #TheIndiaHouse while shooting today. Everyone on the set is safe and sound. Thank you for all your concern. #JaiMataDi.”
Directed by Ram Vamsi Krishna, “The India House” is a period drama that features actors Nikhil Siddhartha, Saiee Manjrekar, and the seasoned Anupam Kher.
