Premiere of Extended Version of “Predator: Killer of Killers”
Tonight, fans of the Predator franchise are in for a treat as the extended version of “Predator: Killer of Killers,” featuring additional scenes with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Dutch and Danny Glover’s Mike Harrigan, will be aired. This special broadcast is set to add exciting new content to the animated Predator narrative.
New Insights into the Predator Universe
“Predator: Killer of Killers” takes an intriguing delve into the Predator’s methods, particularly how the Yautja preserve individuals who outlast a Predator onslaught. In the extended finale airing tonight, July 25 at 7pm PT on Hulu, viewers will see characters from past films—Dutch from the original “Predator” and Harrigan from “Predator 2″—captured and preserved in stasis by the Yautja.
Director Dan Trachtenberg announced this exciting update at a recent panel during the 2025 San Diego Comic-Con. He also shared that Arnold Schwarzenegger has endorsed the exploration of new adventures featuring Dutch, signaling potential future appearances of the beloved character in the sequel to “Killer of Killers.”
Expanding the Predator Lore
Trachtenberg is expanding the Predator universe by exploring themes of capture and preservation. This new lore suggests that the Yautja not only hunt but also kidnap and store their prey for future endeavors. This fate has befallen Dutch, Harrigan, and Amber Midthunder’s Naru from “Prey,” setting the stage for their return in future narratives.
While there is no indication that Schwarzenegger, now 77, will reprise his role as Dutch in live-action, there is curiosity around whether he might voice his character in this animated context.
Teasing Future Predator and Alien Crossovers
In addition to expanding on Predator lore, Trachtenberg hinted at developments that could lead to a new Alien vs. Predator (AVP) film. This comes as fans are already speculating that the upcoming “Predator: Badlands” might pave the way for such a crossover. Further details about the inspiration behind “Badlands” were also shared, hinting at unexpected influences shaping this new chapter.
Tonight’s broadcast not only promises to enrich the Predator storyline but also sets the stage for future expansions in this thrilling cinematic universe.
