New Album Announcement from Nathan Salsburg
Acclaimed experimental guitarist Nathan Salsburg is set to release a new album titled Ipsa Corpora on June 20, courtesy of No Quarter. This marks his first entirely acoustic solo project since the release of Third in 2018. Below, you can view the cover art for the album.
About the Album
The upcoming album, Ipsa Corpora, features a single, continuous 40-minute musical piece. Salsburg recorded this ambitious composition in December 2024, collaborating with James Elkington at Nada Recording Studio in Chicago. Elkington also handled the mixing duties, while Chuck Johnson took on mastering the album at his Cirrus Oxide studio located in Oakland, California.
Recent Works by Nathan Salsburg
Following his 2018 album Third, Salsburg has been quite productive, releasing several albums. These include Psalms in 2021, a project in 2024 titled All Gist which was a collaboration with Elkington, and his most recent work, a record of Lungfish covers named Hear the Children Sing the Evidence.
