Lil Wayne has revealed the launch date for his upcoming album, Tha Carter VI. This latest entry in the celebrated album series by the artist from Louisiana is set to drop on June 6. Currently, details about the album are sparse.
Lil Wayne debuted his Carter series with the first album in 2004. The sequel, Tha Carter II, was released in 2005, followed by Tha Carter III in 2008, and Tha Carter IV in 2011. The release of Wayne’s fifth installment, originally planned for 2014, faced multiple delays and didn’t reach the public until September 2018.
Following Tha Carter V, Lil Wayne has been quite productive, releasing titles such as No Ceilings 3, Funeral, Trust Fund Babies, Tha Fix Before tha VI, and Welcome 2 Collegrove. Additionally, he recently appeared in a Cetaphil commercial, humorously highlighting his exclusion from performing at the Super Bowl LIX halftime show. The commercial is available for viewing below.
