The beloved anime feature, Summer Wars, is set to launch in two new physical formats on April 1. These include a Limited Edition Steelbook exclusive to Amazon, which will showcase the film in 4K UHD resolution for the first time. Fans can place their preorders for the Summer Wars Limited Edition Steelbook currently priced at $30. Additionally, Amazon is accepting preorders for a new standard edition in 1080p Blu-ray, now reduced to $22 from its original $27.

The price for the Limited Edition was initially set at $37, but Amazon has reduced it since. For those who preordered at the higher price, Amazon will automatically update the order amount to match the lowest price available from the moment of preorder until its release. Your payment method will only be charged when your order is dispatched.

Summer Wars was highly acclaimed for its dynamic animation and insightful narrative that explores life within a digital society. While the new editions are light on special features, they do include some appealing extras such as interviews with the original voice cast and the film’s director, Hosoda.
