Doechii has clinched the 2025 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album with her groundbreaking work, Alligator Bites Never Heal. She now stands as the third female in history to achieve this feat, surpassing albums by renowned artists such as Common and Pete Rock (The Auditorium Vol. 1), Eminem (The Death of Slim Shady), Future and Metro Boomin (We Don’t Trust You), and J. Cole (Might Delete Later).
In her emotional acceptance speech, Doechii highlighted the significance of her win, saying, “This category first appeared in 1989. Since then, only three women, including Lauryn Hill, Cardi B, and now myself, have taken home this award.”
She emotionally added:
