At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Shakira triumphed in the Best Latin Pop Album category. Her album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran secured the win, outperforming other nominees including Anitta with Funk Generation, Kali Uchis’ Orquídeas, Kany García’s García, and Luis Fonsi’s El Viaje.
The award was presented to Shakira by Jennifer Lopez. During her acceptance speech, Shakira expressed, “This award is dedicated to all my immigrant brothers and sisters in this country. Know that you are cherished, you have value, and I stand with you. Also, to all the women who tirelessly work each day to support their families, you are the real She-Wolves, and this is for you as well.”
This marks Shakira’s third victory in this particular category over a span of 24 years, a streak that started with Shakira MTV Unplugged back in 2001. Overall, this win represents the fourth Grammy of her illustrious career.
