Buscabulla has just revealed their upcoming album titled Se Amaba Así, set for release on June 13 through Domino. The album, a successor to Regresa, kicks off with the single “El Camino.” You can listen to the track below.
Raquel Berrios, part of the duo alongside Luis del Valle, describes “El Camino” as a “dramatic disco guitar track that explores a pivotal moment in a relationship and the journey through the mysterious, dark aspects of life.” She added, “Our aim was to create a soundtrack-like feel to introduce what is essentially a cinematic new album.”
Berrios further elaborated on the creative direction of the album, stating, “We consciously chose to delve deeper into our own experiences, examining the complexities of not just our relationship but of romantic bonds in general. The album wrestles with the contrasts between traditional and modern perceptions of love. Se Amaba Así offers a therapeutic, introspective collection of songs that draw inspiration from historic Latin and tropical genres, reimagined through a modern perspective.”
