Wrestling Legend Hulk Hogan Has Died - Report

Terry Bollea, better known as Hulk Hogan, a celebrated figure in professional wrestling with twelve world championships and two inductions into the WWE Hall of Fame, has passed away at the age of 71. According to TMZ, he succumbed to cardiac arrest at his residence in Clearwater, Florida, while emergency services were on their way to his home on Thursday morning.

Hogan first captured the public’s attention following his debut in what was then known as the WWF in 1979. His commanding presence, distinctive handlebar mustache, and the unforgettable “Hulkamania” character contributed significantly to transforming the WWF into an international sensation. A highlight of his career was at WrestleMania III, where he famously body-slammed Andre the Giant, a moment that remains iconic in the annals of professional wrestling.

He became a key figure in the WWF, appearing in numerous video games such as WWF Wrestlemania, WWF Wrestlemania Challenge, and King of the Ring on platforms like the Nintendo and Super Nintendo. His career took a significant turn in the mid-90s when he joined the WCW, a rival wrestling promotion, where he was prominently featured in their video games on the N64 and PlayStation, particularly WCW/NWO Revenge.

Apart from his wrestling career, Hogan ventured into the broader entertainment world, starring in movies like Rocky III and the reality TV series Hogan Knows Best. In April 2025, he partnered with Eric Bischoff to establish the Real American Freestyle wrestling promotion, which was set to hold its first event in Cleveland later that summer.

However, Hogan’s career was not without its controversies. Despite being a leading figure in WWE, he was temporarily erased from the company’s history due to a scandal in 2015 that included racist comments and subsequent accusations of infidelity.

He leaves behind his wife, Sky, and children from a previous marriage. Hogan’s early days in WWE to his later involvement in mentoring upcoming wrestling talents, his legacy in the wrestling world is profound and enduring.
