Tragic Incident at Disneyland Leads to Woman’s Death
A woman in her early sixties has passed away in a nearby hospital after experiencing Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion ride.
Matt Sutter, a spokesperson from the Anaheim Police Department, detailed the incident to Entertainment Weekly, stating, “Anaheim Fire & Rescue were called to assist an unresponsive woman in her 60s at the Disneyland Resort immediately after she disembarked from the Haunted Mansion ride. CPR was administered by Disneyland’s security staff until the emergency medical team took over.”
The woman was then quickly moved to a nearby medical facility, where she was declared deceased shortly thereafter.
At present, the exact cause of her death has not been determined. Sutter further explained that the responsibility of establishing the cause of death lies with the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner, who will conduct an investigation to ascertain the details in due course.
The Haunted Mansion, situated in the New Orleans Square section of Disneyland, is designed to be a family-friendly attraction. The official Disneyland website describes the ride as calm and notes that while it is generally suitable for all ages, the special effects might be a bit intense for younger visitors.
