Fusion Entertainment recently welcomed writer and director Elliot Tuttle to their team of managed talent. This decision came shortly after the premiere of Tuttle’s first major film project, “Blue Film,” at The Edinburgh Film Festival, followed by a showing at NewFest.
The film “Blue Film” is a queer genre thriller featuring performances by Tony award-winning actor Reed Birney (“Mass,” “Succession”) and Kieron Moore from “Sex Education.” The storyline centers on a camboy named Aaron Eagle (portrayed by Moore) who experiences a transformative evening involving a client (played by Birney) who is unexpectedly connected to his past.
Elliot Tuttle, who studied at Occidental College and currently resides in Los Angeles, first ventured into directing with “Blue Film.” Before this film, he created a narrative podcast titled “Lina’s Song,” which featured Hari Nef and Dylan Gelula and was produced under the executive guidance of Mark Duplass.

Despite its controversy, which led to its exclusion from many leading festivals, “Blue Film” received critical acclaim upon its release. Guy Lodge from The Bangin Beats commended the performances of Birney and Moore and noted that the film is “an unabashed provocation, but not a hollow one.”
“Blue Film” was not only directed but also written by Tuttle, with Bijan Kazerooni, Will Youmans, Waylon Sall, and Adam Kersh of Fusion Entertainment as producers. Mark Duplass also contributed as a consulting producer. The film is currently on the market for distribution, managed by Submarine Entertainment.
